Our school aims to provide a secure, friendly and attractive
environment in which our students can grow and develop to
their full potential.
Loxton Primary School is in the Riverland.
We are situated on the southern side of the River Murray
and approximately 250 kilometres from Adelaide.
It is within easy travelling distance to Mildura and Victoria's
Sunraysia district. Annual enrolments range between
350 and 380 students.
We are situated by the River Murray and close to our local high school.
The high school is highly regarded as a school of excellence in South Australia. We have bus services
from outlying areas. Children have access to many recreational
activities from sporting clubs including soccer, netball, football,
basketball, hockey, tennis, cricket, horse riding, baseball,
softball and swimming. There are also provisions for the arts
with Chaffey Theatre, Riverland Youth Theatre, local art gallery
and school programs.
It opened in 1914 and has provided
a sound education to the children of Loxton for many
generations.
